1. Acceptance of terms

By creating an account or using KTAXIS – Kerala On Wheels ("KTAXIS", "we", "the Platform"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.

2. Who can use KTAXIS

You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering a binding contract. Drivers must hold a valid driving licence and, where applicable, a commercial permit for their vehicle, and must complete our KYC verification before accepting rides.

3. The role of the Platform

KTAXIS is a technology platform that connects independent riders and drivers. Drivers using the Platform are independent contractors, not employees of KTAXIS. KTAXIS is not a common carrier and does not itself provide transportation services.

4. Bookings, fares & payment

  • Fares are estimated based on distance, ride type, and demand, and the final fare may vary based on the actual route taken.
  • Payment may be made by cash, wallet balance, or another supported payment method shown at checkout.
  • Cancellation fees may apply if a ride is cancelled after a driver has been assigned, as shown in-app at the time of cancellation.

5. Driver & franchise earnings

Driver fares, commissions, and multi-level referral payouts are calculated according to the rates shown in your dashboard at the time of each ride, and may be updated by KTAXIS from time to time with notice. Withdrawals are subject to identity verification and standard processing times.

6. User conduct

You agree not to:

  • Provide false identity, vehicle, or KYC information.
  • Use the Platform for any unlawful, unsafe, or abusive purpose.
  • Attempt to circumvent the Platform to arrange payment or rides outside the app where prohibited.
  • Interfere with the security or normal operation of the Platform.

7. Safety

Riders and drivers must comply with applicable traffic laws and safety requirements. KTAXIS may suspend or deactivate accounts that violate safety standards, receive repeated poor ratings, or are reported for misconduct, pending investigation.

8. Ratings

Riders and drivers may rate each other after a completed ride. Ratings are used to maintain service quality and may affect a driver's ability to continue receiving ride requests.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, KTAXIS is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the Platform. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be excluded under applicable Indian law, including in relation to death or personal injury caused by negligence.

10. Suspension & termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, provide false information, or pose a safety risk to other users. You may stop using the Platform and request account deletion at any time.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, and disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of [CITY], Kerala.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
